1. Our commitment
We build Voiceups as a legitimate SaaS tool for narration, education, marketing, accessibility, and multilingual content workflows. We are committed to reducing harmful, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal uses of synthetic audio while supporting ethical creators and businesses.
This policy supplements our Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service.
2. Core principles
- Legitimate purpose — Use the Service for lawful content production, not to deceive, defraud, or harm others.
- Human review — You are responsible for reviewing Output before publication or distribution.
- Transparency — Disclose AI-generated narration where required by law, regulation, or platform rules.
- Consent & rights — Obtain necessary rights and consents for Input and intended uses.
- Academic integrity — Do not use the Service for cheating, exam misuse, or misrepresenting AI work as your own.
- Proportionate enforcement — We act on violations, including suspension, termination, and cooperation with authorities when appropriate.
3. What our AI is — and is not
Voiceups generates synthetic speech from text using machine learning and licensed voice data. Output is not a live human performance.
- Output may include mispronunciations, awkward pacing, or inappropriate tone;
- Output may be unsuitable for emergency, medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical instructions;
- Output should be reviewed before you rely on it for any important decision;
- Catalog voices are not intended to replicate identifiable real individuals without proper authorization and labeling.
We do not guarantee perfect or fully accurate audio. Results may vary by language, text complexity, and settings.
4. Prohibited high-risk uses
The following uses are prohibited regardless of technical capability:
- Deceptive synthetic media that misleads others about identity, endorsement, or events;
- Non-consensual imitation of a real person’s voice or likeness for harmful purposes;
- Fraudulent calls or messages pretending to be banks, governments, employers, or family members;
- Harassment, threats, hate, or violence delivered through synthetic voice;
- Content sexualizing minors or facilitating exploitation;
- Unlawful robocalls, spam campaigns, or telecom abuse;
- Political or electoral deception without clear disclosure and lawful basis;
- Academic dishonesty, including exam cheating or submitting AI-generated work as original authorship;
- Any activity intended to evade law enforcement, court orders, or platform bans.
5. Educational & institutional use
Educators, students, and institutions may use Voiceups for legitimate learning content such as course narration, language practice, and accessible materials. Users must follow institutional academic integrity policies. The Service must not be used to cheat on assessments or misrepresent AI-generated audio as human-recorded student work where rules prohibit that.
6. Safeguards we may use
We may employ technical and operational measures including:
- Account registration, verification, and usage quotas;
- Rate limits on public demos and API endpoints;
- Automated and manual abuse detection;
- Blocking repeat offenders and known harmful patterns;
- Restrictions for new or high-risk accounts;
- Metadata logging for security and compliance (see Privacy Policy).
Safeguards are not perfect. You must not probe, circumvent, or abuse them.
7. Your obligations
Before publishing or sharing Output, you agree to:
- Read and comply with this policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Terms of Service;
- Verify Output for accuracy, tone, and policy compliance;
- Apply required AI disclosures on publishing platforms;
- Ensure team members and API end-users follow the same rules;
- Report suspected misuse promptly.
8. API & business customers
If you integrate Voiceups into your product or organization, you must:
- Pass equivalent use restrictions to your users;
- Implement reasonable abuse controls for public-facing integrations;
- Cooperate with safety investigations within a reasonable time;
- Maintain a contact for escalations.
9. Reporting concerns
To report misuse, contact us via the Contact page with subject line “AI Safety Report” and include relevant URLs, account identifiers, timestamps, and a clear description. We prioritize child safety, credible threats, and active fraud.
10. Policy updates
AI technology and regulations evolve. We may update this policy to reflect legal requirements (such as AI labeling rules) and industry best practices. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
